LANTA was instrumental in establishing the Landscape Gardener Apprenticeship Program in Alberta, and administers the internationally-recognized "Landscape Industry Certified" programs for Alberta. LANTA also has a hands-on role in the research and development of hardy plant material for Alberta's varied growing areas.
