The Landscape Awards are one of the most valuable resources Landscape Alberta offers to its members. It celebrates the remarkable work being done in the design, construction and maintenance of Alberta landscapes, and showcases projects that earn the respect and admiration of peers and clients alike. Projects that score very highly in our Alberta program are elevated to compete in the National Awards of Landscape Excellence (Canadian Nursery Landscape Association).
Something for Every Type of Member
All members receive notification of the annual awards program, encouraging contractors to enter projects that demonstrate their workmanship and creativity. Supplier members are great supporters of the Awards program – by encouraging participation from members who demonstrate excellence with their products, and by providing valuable association sponsorship’s to award the high achievers.
The Landscape Awards reflect the association’s commitment to creating and preserving the beauty of the urban landscape. The program is also designed to reward independent landscape contracting professionals who execute top quality landscape projects.
Members can enter projects into nine different categories covering construction, maintenance and design. Each entry is evaluated using a set of criteria; the submissions are not judged against each other. There are two award levels: a Merit Award goes to an entry that earns 70-84 points, and an Excellence Award goes to an entry earning 85 or more points.
Participation in the Alberta Landscape Awards Program is an excellent way to collaborate with your own team and is very motivating when you can share the “win” with your staff. It can provide a sense to pride and satisfaction to your employees that were part of the overall project. At the same time, your clients are also thrilled when their project wins, as it can provide additional value to their property and markets your company name at the same time.
